NASA is planning to demonstrate the largest solar sail ever built, in an upcoming space mi...

NASA's upcoming Technology Demonstration Missions are intended to "transform its space communications, deep space navigation and in-space propulsion capabilities." Three project proposals have been selected for these missions, which should be launching in 2015 and 2016. One of those projects, the Laser Communications Relay Demonstration, we've told you about already. Another, however, will be demonstrating a mission-capable solar sail. While NASA has recently tested a solar sail measuring 100 square feet (9.29 square meters), this one will be the largest ever flown, spanning a whopping 15,543 square feet, or 1,444 square meters. .. 28 Days Old (4 Weeks!)


Tiny Little Finger In Blue Sweater
It's amazing how much babies change in the first few weeks. James is already up to 10 pounds and has developed a very large bald spot on the front of his head. He still mostly sleeps, but there are brief periods of awake where he is looking around a little.


I find it difficult to image splitting time between two children, but I'm sure you figure out a way to make it work. We went out for a nice stroll around the neighborhood - the Williams household now has a double stroller (bassonet + upright) as well as an agressive single stoller. All three kids had a good time on their walk.

15 Days Old - Our First Visit with James

We wanted to come over sooner, but our daughter was sick and it's not very nice to bring a sick kid over to another house where there is a new Baby. James Philip Vincent Williams was born on Sunday Feb. 13th. Marcus couldn't be happier!

Marcus was running around and kind of scared us with how much further we need to go with child proofing our own home. James on the other hand was a surprise - mostly asleep and so light! It's amazing how light a newborn baby is compared to 10 month old.

A little bit of sunlight and James woke up for a little bit of a visit. He's still in the mostly sleep stage so there wasn't a lot of awake and interacting.
